First Day is a Great Day

So, Assignment 1 that we did is pretty good and simple thing. First, I will provide the picture and I will explain.

So there are 3 kinds of BALANCE in Basic Design Principle. They are Symmetrical, Asymmetrical and Radial.

Balance is one of the key that makes our design unique, how it looks and sometimes it also carry the message what the artist wants to tell us.

Symmetrical we found 3 pictures. Symmetrical is a balance that is same at the right side and other side. Not the design but how it looks, from the colour, from the space there and the objects inside. I have done that on 3 pictures on the left there.

The Asymmetrical is when the appearance of the design not looks the same from the colour, objects on each side and space. You can see 3 pictures of Asymmetrical up right there.

The Radial balance is a balance that basically base on a circle. So I found 3 pictures that show the radial balance. Even 2 of them on the right down, it is not perfect circle, but we can see they are meet at the middle point like the middle point of a circle. So it is basically a circle but the outside design it is not a circle. That's all for Task 1.

Now this was the second task.

On second task, we were making a design base on 7 Basic Design Elements but we add BALANCE on the design. Son on the left up there the design use lines, balance use the symmetrical. So the left side and right side they are the same amount of space.

The second design is Shape which I made is just squares which bound each other which place randomly and made it Asymmetrical.

The third one is a form from a simple bounded squares but in 3D design there with the shadow on its side.

The fourth one is space. I drew the upside down almost similar triangle and colour it black with pencil so we can see the white as the space inside the square frame.

The fifth is Texture which I am not ready with texture materials, I had to sacrifice my own eraser for the texture there. Not quite good but also not bad for 5 minutes idea.

2nd to last is Value. Value is the gradient of a colour, from bright to dark. Since I don't have any colour pencils, I just use the B Pencil and shading it into 2 different brightness. Why 2 different? Because the first box there is no colour at all, I just colour the grey and black.

Last but not least is the COLOUR. Colour I borrowed from my friend colour pens, I drew some drops of water and I coloured it into different colours. Also I add some bubbles there like reflecting dew in the morning also.

On the right there, I made the stained glass design. But my design little bit out of the box.

Up there, the design is taken from a grille design from a car that I made. Maybe not perfect in making side to side but it looks proportional. On the middle if you see, I got put SALE writing there. But I faded it with lines on each gap.

At the down side, left there I drew a shape of a car if you can see it. The nose of a car until the front windshield, but I remove the windshield wipers to fade the design. Middle there I drew just squares there actually I wanted to draw diamonds but failed so just squared. Then right there I drew 3 design. The bubbles and dots reflected the balance of life and the curves there reflected that in the balance of life also get some curvy times, not always straight but curvy moments also there. and the triangle looks there is inspired from Chinese-Korean symbol of cars also with TRIANGLE base design.

That's all for FIRST DAY. It was a great day to make those tasks. See you next blog.
